River Location
Becketwood Cooperative is located between Minneapolis and St.Paul on West River Parkway overlooking the Mississippi River. The site is about 1.5 miles south of the Lake Street/Marshall Avenue Bridge and about 1/2 mile north of Minnehaha Park and the Ford Bridge.
Becketwood's location is like living in the country in the middle of the city. The park-like setting is composed of 12 acres of over 300 trees and many gardens. Walking and biking paths on the Mississippi River bluffs are right across the street. Minnehaha Falls and the river locks are within walking distance.
Both Twin City downtowns are minutes away with the international airport just a few miles to the south. Becketwood is in Minneapolis' Longfellow neighborhood and is just across the river from St. Paul's Highland Park community and the shops of Highland Village. The light rail line is less than one mile to the west, connecting with metro transit bus lines that stop right at Becketwood's door.

From the North & West: Go through the Lowry Hill tunnel on east bound I-94 and exit on Hiawatha Avenue/Highway 55 (next exit to the right after I-35W). Follow Hiawatha Ave to 42nd Street. Turn left on 42nd Street and go straight east to the "T" at West River Parkway. Turn right and go 1½ blocks to the entrance drive to Becketwood on your right.
From the South & West: Follow the Highway 62 east and take the Highway 55 West exit. Turn left and follow Highway 55 West/Hiawatha Ave to 42nd Street. Turn right on 42nd Street and go straight east to the "T" at West River Parkway. Turn right and go 1½ blocks to the entrance drive to Becketwood on your right.
From the East: Follow I-94 west to the Cretin/Vandalia exit. At the top of the ramp, go left onto Cretin Ave proceeding to Marshall Avenue. Turn right on Marshall and cross the Mississippi River. Turn left at the stop light at the other end of the bridge. This ramp takes you down to West River Parkway. Turn right onto West River Parkway at the stop sign. Follow West River Parkway approximately 1.5 miles. When you pass 42nd Street and the South campus of Minnehaha Academy, Becketwood Cooperative will be the next driveway to the right.
